Donald Trump abruptly ends interview with CBS' Dickerson when asked about Obama wiretapping claims

US President Donald Trump abruptly ended a interview with CBS News' John Dickerson.

Washington: US President Donald Trump abruptly ended an interview with CBS News' John Dickerson, after the anchor asked about the president's unfounded wiretapping claims, he made against his predecessor Barack Obama.

During the interview, the US President said his allegations against Obama "have been proven very strongly".

"I think our sides been proven very strongly and everybody`s talking about it, and frankly, it should be discussed -- I think that is a very big surveillance of our citizens," CNN quoted Trump as saying in an interview with CBS` John Dickerson that aired on Monday.

However, when the CBS News anchor asked to elaborate on his series of tweets that Obama ordered Trump`s phones wiretapped during the presidential campaign, the US President said refused to dive deeper into his comments, declining to explain his comment or explicitly say that he stands by his claim.

Dickerson continued to ask President Trump saying, "I'm asking you because you don't want it to be fake news. I want to hear it from President Trump."

To this the president replied "You don't have to ask me. You don't have to ask me,” adding “Because I have my own opinions, you can have your own opinions.”

However, when the CBS newsperson continued to press Trump to explain his claims about Obama, the US President said, "Okay, it's enough. Thank you. Thank you very much," Trump said, walking away from Dickerson.
