Kangana Ranaut buys India's first Mercedes-Maybach S680 worth Rs 3.2 crore

Ahead of her latest movie release Dhaakad, Kangana Ranaut has bought a new Mercedes-Maybach S680, the most expensive Maybach model on sale in the country.

Ahead of the release of her movie Dhaakad, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has bought a Mercedes-Maybach S680, becoming the first Indian to own this luxury sedan in the country, according to reports. The Mercedes-Maybach S680 is the most expensive Maybach in India and the luxury saloon is worth Rs 3.20 crores (ex-showroom), sold in the country through the imported route. The sedan was launched in March along with the Mercedes-Maybach S580, which is now assembled in India and is priced at Rs 2.50 crores. The actress was recently spotted taking delivery of her brand new Mercedes-Maybach in all-black colour. 

This is not the actor's first Mercedes-Benz, as she has bought a Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV in 2019. As for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, while she has become the first Indian to own this swanky imported sedan, recently Shahid Kapoor, her co-actor from Rangoon bought the Mercedes-Maybach S580, painted in all-white colour

The Maybach S680 is imported in India and is powered by a AMG sourced 6.0-litre twin turbocharged V12 petrol engine, producing 612 HP and a mammoth 900 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox as standard with power being sent to all-four wheels.

As being a luxury saloon, it has a premium interior with a new vertical mounted touchscreen infotainment system which measures 12.8-inches in size and runs on the second-gen MBUX system. Drivers get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. There are also reclining rear seats with massaging functions, ambient lighting, noise cancellation, four-zone climate control, rear tray tables and a rear refrigerator with their own custom made solid metal flutes.

The Mercedes-Maybach S680 also gets level 2 autonomous technology, including systems such as evasive steering assist, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep and lane change assist. The Maybach S-Class comes fitted with 13 airbags as standard.
