New Delhi: Maruti's premium hatchback Baleno has finally arrived in India. You can book your car from Nexa dealers from October 26.

According to industry sources, the price of the hatchback will be ranging between Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 8.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the car will be competing with other hatchbacks like Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo.

The car will come in both petrol and diesel version.  Each version will have four variants: Baleno Sigma, Baleno Delta, Baleno Zeta, Baleno Alpha.

Maruti Baleno will be available with a total of 7 colour options – Granite grey, Autumn Orange, Premium Urban Blue, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Premium Silver, Arctic White and Ray Blue.

The car also boasts of being fuel efficient in its category.The company said that petrol version has ARAI-certified fuel-efficiency of 21.4km per litre and the diesel offers an outstanding 27.39km per litre.

According to industry sources, the price details of various variants are as follows:

Petrol variants: Sigma – Rs. 4.99 lakh; Delta – Rs. 5.71 lakh; Zeta – Rs. 6.31 lakh; Alpha – Rs. 7.01 lakh; Delta CVT – Rs. 6.76 lakh

Diesel variants: Sigma – Rs. 6.16 lakh; Delta – Rs 6.81 lakh; Zeta – Rs. 7.41 lakh; Alpha – Rs. 8.11 lakh

According to the company officials, the new car Baleno is based on Suzuki’s new-generation platform that makes it lighter and stiffer than that of the Swift.The company also has plans to manufacture the car in India for its global exports at the company’s Manesar based facility.

It’s the first car in its segment to feature Apple Car Play system. It supports both iOS and Android operating systems.

The Baleno also gets UV-Cut glass that doesn’t let ultra-violate rays into the cabin,and the car gets projector head lamps and LED daytime running lamp, which is a first-in-class features. It also gets LED Tail-lamps, another segment-first feature.
