Actress Anne Hathaway has trimmed her thick mane of long brunette locks very short for her role in upcoming flick ‘Les Miserables’.

London: Actress Anne Hathaway has trimmed her thick mane of long brunette locks very short for her role in ‘Les Miserables’.

The 29-year-old was photographed leaving a nightclub here with the newly cropped do. Hathaway was trying to conceal her fresh crop from the photographers as she hopped into a taxi with her boyfriend, the Daily Mail reported. The actress also looked slimmer and is said to have embarked on a diet to perfect the look of her part in the movie. Hathaway plays Fantine, a struggling factory worker who is forced into prostitution to provide for her illegitimate child and ends up selling her hair for money. She is not the only star to go a makeover for the ambitious project which also stars Hugh Jackman. The actor was unrecognisable as he was photographed in rags and beard recently. PTI
