Cruise ship worker drops sexual assault lawsuit against John Travolta

A sailor who had claimed that John Travolta sexually assaulted him on a cruise ship has dismissed his lawsuit against the actor.

London: A sailor who had claimed that John Travolta sexually assaulted him on a cruise ship has dismissed his lawsuit against the actor.
The decision comes as cruise ship worker Fabian Zanzi realised that the legal battle was going to cost him a fortune, the Daily Mail reported.
Previously Zanzi had won a fight to have his case heard in court, but according to Radar Online, the actor had a motion pending before the court. If it were granted, Zanzi would be forced to fork out 75,000 dollars for a bond if the legal proceedings were to go ahead. "My client and our firm are very pleased that Mr. Zanzi has agreed to dismiss the lawsuit," Travolta`s lawyer Marty Singer said. The new legal proceedings come after it was revealed on Monday that Zanzi had succeeded in having his case heard in court. The `Saturday Night Fever` star`s legal team had tried to prevent it being heard on the grounds his ticket included an agreement to settle all disputes between a passenger and the cruise line in arbitration. However, a federal judge dismissed the motion, saying there was no evidence Zanzi was bound by the arbitration agreement between Travolta and Royal Caribbean International. ANI
