Struggling to raise fresh funds, Flipkart and Snapdeal slash hiring to cut costs

New Delhi: Unable to raise fresh funds, local e-commerce majors Flipkart Limited and Snapdeal have begun to slash hiring in order to cut loses in wake of sales slowdown. The companies are also cutting on advertising spends and discounts.

As per media reports, the companies are also cutting on fresh hiring of senior management.

The company is only allowing recruits who are deemed to be absolutely mandatory for operations.
