India's exports up 4.62% at $22.9 billion in September
Cumulative value of exports for the period April-September 2016-17 was USD 131.4 billion as against USD 133.7 billion registering a negative growth of 1.74 percent over the same period last year.

New Delhi: India's exports during September has shown sign of revival by registering a growth of 4.62 percent, valued at USD 22.9 billion than the level of USD 21.86 billion during the same month last year.
Cumulative value of exports for the period April-September 2016-17 stood at USD 131.4 billion as against USD 133.7 billion, registering a negative growth of 1.74 percent over the same period last year.
However, imports during September were valued at USD 31.22 billion which was 2.54 percent lower over the level of imports valued at USD 32.03 billion in September, 2015.
Cumulative value of imports for the period April-September 2016-17 was USD 174.4 billion as against USD 202.26 billion registering a negative growth of 13.77 percent over the same period last year.
The trade deficit for April-September, 2016-17 was estimated at USD 43 billion which was 37.26 percent lower than the deficit of USD 68.54 billion during April-September, 2015-16.
