Los Angeles: Paw prints of Uggie, the Jack Russell terrier who shot to fame starring in the Oscar-winning film ‘The Artist’, will be immortalised at the Grauman`s Chinese Theater on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Uggie, who became a fixture on the Hollywood scene during last year`s awards-season campaign on behalf of best picture Oscar winner ‘The Artist’, will plant his paws in cement at the Theater on June 25.
A retirement party for the pooch is also being thrown by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, coinciding with the release of ‘The Artist’ on Blu-ray and DVD on June 26, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The canine celebrity is scheduled to arrive at the party by fire engine.
Duff Goldman, the pastry chef featured on Food Network`s `Ace of Cakes`, also will be on hand, bringing with him a cake in the shape of a fire hydrant.
