South actress Priya Anand signed for `Fukrey`

Mumbai: Southern actress Priya Anand will be seen in Farhan Akhtar`s upcoming home production `Fukrey`.

Priya, who is a popular name in the Tamil and Telugu film industry, has been signed by Excel Entertainment for a lead role in the new youth-centric film. The actress played the role of Sridevi`s niece Radha in the recently released `English Vinglish`. `Fukrey`, to be directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. "Everyone loved Priya`s performance in `English Vinglish`. `Fukrey` will be her first central portrayal in a youth-centric romantic film," Excel Entertainment spokesperson said in a statement here. Set against a college backdrop, the movie is about bonding between friends and has an ensemble cast. Pulkit Samrat (of `Bittoo Boss` fame) and Richa Chadda are already part of the film. PTI
