Love is hardwork, says pop star Kylie Minogue

London: Pop star Kylie Minogue, who is dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso, says relationships need a lot of hard work.

The `All The Lovers` hitmaker says romance is not always easy and she has learnt over the years what is important and what is not, reported Contactmusic. "You have to work at love. I have never believed that marriage would be the ultimate. There are people who think a love story should last an entire lifetime. I tell myself it will last as long as it lasts, that way there are fewer disappointments. "I`m wising up. More tolerant, less demanding. I am very happy today because Andres totally respects who I am. Whether I`m stepping off stage looking fabulous or waking up looking a sight, it`s all the same to him," she said. The 44-year-old beauty, who successfully beat breast cancer after being diagnosed in 2005, says she has never been happier and loves being with Velencoso. "I am healed and very in love, that helps. Andres is handsome, kind and very easy to live with." PTI
