Britney Spears sells house for whopping 4.2m dollars

Washington: Britney Spears has sold her sprawling Beverly Hills mansion for 4,253,000 dollars, which is 1 million dollars more than the asking price.

The 30-year-old singer had listed the house at a modest price of 2,995,000 dollars, expecting multiple bids and possibly even a bidding frenzy, TMZ.com reported. Since Spears is under a conservatorship in probate court, there will be a hearing on the sale next month, and anyone can come to court and overbid the accepted offer. The house is in the Summit - an exclusive gated community - and is where the singer famously had a meltdown in 2008, when she was strapped to a stretcher and taken to a hospital. According to sources, she will be moving in with fiance Jason Trawick into a rented house for a short term, until they find a new property to buy. ANI
