Arnold Schwarzenegger to reprise Conan role

Los Angeles: Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to reprise his role of Conan the Barbarian in ‘The Legend of Conan’.

"I always loved the Conan character and I`m honoured to be asked to step into the role once again. I can`t wait to work with Universal Pictures and the great team of [producers] Fredrik Malmberg and Chris Morgan to develop the next step of this truly epic story," Schwarzenegger told Deadline.com in a statement. The 1982 film ‘Conan the Barbarian’ had launched Schwarzenegger`s acting career. He later played the vengeful hero in 1984`s ‘Conan the Destroyer’. "The original ended with Arnold on the throne as a seasoned warrior, and this is the take of the film we will make," producer Fredrik Malmberg said. IANS
