New Delhi: Dubbed as the most in-form batsman ahead of the India – Australia series, Virat Kohli has endured a shockingly embarrassing outing against the visitors - who seem to have brought 'bad luck' for the Indian captain from Down Under.
The Bengaluru Test saw Kohli becoming the victim of one of the most difficult LBW decisions after he opted to review a Josh Hazlewood delivery that trapped him in front of the wicket.
The review took about 5 mins and after the third umpire couldn't find any conclusive evidence that the ball had hit the bat first before making an impact with pad, he asked the on-field umpire to stick to his decision. (IND vs AUS, 2nd Test, Day 3 - As it happened | Full Coverage)
"I don’t think I’ve got any conclusive evidence there to say that is definitely bat first, so let’s go through to ball tracking, please," Richard Kettleborough said during his deliberation.
The Indian captain looked absolutely furious with the third umpire's decision to not reverse the on-field umpire's call.

Former Australia captain Michael Clarke reflected on the incident saying, "When I watched that live, and obviously I’m up here and not out on the field, I actually thought Virat hit that before it hit his pad.
"But when you slow it down, with the on-field umpire giving you out, you can understand why the (third) umpire can’t change his decision. "Live, I thought it was bat-pad."

Later, BCCI took to Twitter and asked cricket fans if Kohli was unfortunate to be given out.
