Cheteshwar Pujara first Indian to be run out in both innings of a Test

Cheteshwar Pujara is one of the most technically-correct batsmen in India but not when it comes to running between the wickets. On Wednesday, the India No. 3 earned an embarrassing record becoming the first Indian batsman to be run out in both the innings of a Test match.

Pujara, who made 0 and 19 respectively in the two innings of the ongoing second Test between India and South Africa at Centurion, was run out by debutant Lungi Ngidi off the first ball he faced in the first innings and couldn't beat AB de Villiers throw in the second. 

Also, the right-hander is the first batsman in 18 years to bag the unwanted record.

The last batsman to be out in both the innings of a Test was former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming in 2000 against Zimbabwe in Wellington. 

In all now, 25 batsmen have had the dubious record to their name. 

Pujara's run-out pushed India further into trouble at Centurion chasing 287 to win the Test on the final day. South Africa lead the three-match series 1-0.
