MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli – KL Rahul picks his favourite Indian skipper

New Delhi: Just 8 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20 Internationals under the belt and KL Rahul already has at least a century in each format to his name.

Having scored as many as 3 Test hundreds, Rahul deservedly earned the nickname of 'Test Specialist'. Not just that, Chris Gayle even predicted that KL Rahul will soon give Virat Kohli a run for his money.

In a recent interview with India Today, the Karnataka-born batsman was asked to give his opinion on the captaincy of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli — the only two captains under whom he has played internationally.

Rahul said, "with MS having so much experience behind him he understands what is best for the team. He is obviously the best captain that India or the world has ever seen there is no doubt about that. When he is in the dressing room there is a bit of calm, you know that the captain is doing most of the thinking, he will give you your roles & responsibilities and you just need to go and play them out."

"When it comes to Virat he is more energetic & has more passion. He wants the boys to be in the face of the players (opposition), be aggressive on the field and express themselves.

We enjoy playing with both of them as leaders and both of them set great examples for rest of the boys in the team. They are great leaders and the team is in safe hands with both of them as leaders," he added.

It seems that the 24-year-old has a clear favourite when it comes to leadership.
