New Delhi: The first match between Australia and New Zealand has been very eventful. From Steve Smith's incredible knock of 164 and that flying catch to George Bailey's bizarre batting stance, everything has go in the hosts favour.

Not just that, Kiwi batsman Colin Munro also broke his bat facing a delivery from speedster Pat Cummins in the 42nd over.

As Munro tried to hit the ball through covers, one part of the bat remained in his hands and the other over midwicket. The ball's impact was near the bottom of the bat.

Batting first, the Aussies stuttered at the start and were struggling at 92 for 4 in 20.1 overs at one stage.

But, courtesy a brilliant knock from Steven Smith of 164, Australia scored 324 for 8 in 50 overs to post New Zealand a challenging total in first ODI of the Chappell-Hadlee series. In reply, the Kiwis were bundled for just 256 in 44.2 overs.
