Essel Group's Saarthi initiative - Know about it

Among other things, the initiative endevours to help students from the poorest sections of the society.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lauded Essel Group chairman Subhash Chandra for his 'insightful' Saarthi initiative and said that his visionary leadership has contributed richly in various endeavours.

The initiative is aimed at social upliftment of people through education, health, women empowerment and social justice. 

Among other things, the initiative endeavours to help students from the poorest sections of the society.

It aims to connect the needy with the right organisation and its endeavour is to see that 'poorna swaraj' reaches every person of the country.

Formally launching the initiative during an event to mark the 90th anniversary of Essel Group at the Indira Gandhi stadium here, the PM said that this enterprising and intuitive social initiative will immensely benefit the needy.

"One motivation behind our success is my grandfather Jagannath Goenka's counsel - Never be afraid of difficulties and never compromise on your promise and honesty," Dr Chandra said.
