Student of IIT-Madras wins EO Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) at India National Finals
Entrepreneurs Organisation on Friday announced the winner of EO GSEA India National Finals. Daniel Raj David, a student of IIT - Madras emerged as the winner from India.

New Delhi: Entrepreneurs Organisation on Friday announced the winner of EO GSEA India National Finals. Daniel Raj David, a student of IIT - Madras emerged as the winner from India.
He was felicitated during the awards, at a glittering function in Ahmedabad. Daniel also received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and secured his place to compete in the global finals in Frankfurt, Germany where he will compete amongst winners from 50+ countries, on 27 to 29 April 2017.
The final regional event in Ahmedabad saw as many as 19 finalists from across India competing for the coveted award.
On winning the award, Daniel said "I am so honored to have won this prestigious competition. It has been a great learning thus far and am grateful for the time invested by EO members in mentoring and nurturing me through the process, thus far. It will enable me to grow my business, and I look forward to learning all that I can. I wholeheartedly thank Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) for this".
The 2017 award ceremony was hosted by Gujarat chapter of Entrepreneurs' Organization at Ahmedabad. A panel of guests comprising of Shailesh Haribhakti, Chairman (DH Consultants Pvt.Ltd), Shri Chiranjiv Patel, Regional Director - South Asia (Entrepreneurs' Organisation), Smt. Geeta Goradia, Managing Director (Jewel Consumer Care Pvt. Ltd.) Anand Desai, Managing Director, MultiConsult Pvt. Ltd. where invited as they evaluated and selected the winners. The prestigious event was held at United World Campus, Karnavati Knowledge Village, Gandhinagar.
As the premier global competition for undergraduate students, the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) represents thousands of prominent student entrepreneurs from more than 50 countries. Built on a mission to give student entrepreneurs the opportunity to accelerate their success, challenge the status quo and connect to an instrumental peer group and make the greatest impact possible in their community.
The GSEA program was founded in 1998 by Saint Louis University. The year 2006 saw Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) take over the program to provide a sustainable model and continue global growth and expansion. It's Vision of empowering student entrepreneurs to become the world's most influential change makers. EO GSEA supports student entrepreneurs who require much-needed mentorship, recognition, and connections to take their businesses to the next level of success.

In South Asia this year, the region has seen participation from 100's of student entrepreneurs from neighboring countries Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and India.
