Los Angeles: Actress Anne Hathaway and director Garry Marshall, who brought “The Princess Diaries” alive on the silver screen, are planning to make a third movie in the successful franchise.
Based on Meg Cabot's 2000 novel of the same name, the film franchise tells the story of a girl, who discovers that she is the heir to the throne of the fictional kingdom, and how her life goes for a toss as she tries to fit in. The first film came out in 2001, and its sequel “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” in 2004.
But there is still time for the third chapter of the film to become a reality.
Marshall said: “Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we're going to do it."
Might there be a role in there for “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” star Chris Pine?
"Maybe. He's quite big now, you know,” Marshall said.
