New Delhi: Bollywood saw many A-listed couples heading for a splitsville at the start of 2016. One such couple, whose separation news shocked the fans was that of Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan.

Yes, earlier this year the couple even put all the speculation to rest and released a joint statement which read, "The truth is, we have taken a break, but that doesn't mean people can presume, assume and speculate things of such malicious nature. We are taking out time to figure out our lives. Yes, it's true that we are separated, but where our lives go and what transpires between us, it is for us to decide. Wherever it goes from here, we will talk about it when we are ready to”.

Recently, Malaika was seen wishing hubby Arbaaz a happy birthday on Instagram with a cute picture of the two, suggesting that a reconciliation may be on cards. Also, the two were spotted having dinners more often, hinting that a patch-up might be in the offing.

However, Arbaaz Khan in an interview with Mumbai Mirror was quoted as saying, “At this point of time we are not together, we are separated, and that's about it”.
