It is being said that proper safety measures were not taken while shooting the life-threatening stunt scene and this is considered to be a major reason behind the death of two Kannada actors.

Two Kannada actors, Anil and Uday, on Monday drowned in a lake near Bengaluru while performing a stunt scene. It all happened when the duo tried to jump from a helicopter into a lake near Bengaluru.
The stunt act was a part of the climax in the upcoming film 'Maastigudi' where the hero (Vijay) chases two villains who make attempts to escape in a chopper. The hero too hops onto the chopper, which flies over the lake.
Vijay survived the fatal jump but Anil and Uday, who did not know swimming, drowned in the middle of the lake before they could be rescued.
Bodies of the duo are yet to be recovered.
