Sanjay Dutt’s release from jail: A chartered fight for homecoming?

Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt, who is likely to be released from prison on February 25, 2016 from Pune's Yerwada jail, may take a chartered flight to get back home.

According to a report in Indianexpress.com, Dutt has been advised to take a chartered flight to avoid law and order problems which may be caused due to the media frenzy over his release, en route to Mumbai from Pune via the expressway.

Dutt was convicted by the Supreme Court of India under the Arms Act for possessing a prohibited weapon in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

He had already served 18-months in prison as an undertrial at Mumbai's Arthur Road jail and was sent to Pune's Yerwada jail in May 2013 to complete his remaining 42-month-term.
