Mumbai: Rumoured real-life couple – Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh – will be sharing screen space for the third time in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, a magnum opus which also stars Shahid Kapoor.

It will indeed be SLB, Deepika and Ranveer’s third film together – the trio has delivered ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela- Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ in the past. But interestingly, in both the films, the lovers – Ram and Leela & Bajirao and Mastani – failed to reunite. Their onscreen love stories never ended on a happy note.  

By teaming up for ‘Padmavati’, the duo is all set to follow the same “sad” trend because Deepika’s character will hate Alauddin Khilji (played by Ranveer Singh), reports suggest.

Interestingly, Deepika is romantically paired with Shahid, who will essay the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, a Rajput warrior, reports suggest.

For the uninitiated, Deepika and Ranveer had played man and wife in Homi Adajania’s ‘Finding Fanny’. But Ranveer had a cameo in the film and his screen presence lasted only for a few seconds.

Irrespective of what the story is, we are sure, DeepVeer fans would love to see them sharing screen space.
