Zee Cine Awards 2016: Know what Ranveer Singh did while receiving awards on behalf of Deepika Padukone

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have never admitted to being in love, but their on and off screen chemistry says it all. No matter how hard they try, they can’t really hide their true feelings for each other!

At the Zee Cine Awards 2016, Ranveer received awards won by Deepika, as the dimpled lady is abroad shooting for her debut Hollywood project.

“Deepika got both the Jury’s Choice and the Viewer’s Choice Best Actress Awards. When the first one was announced, Ranveer went up on stage and gave a wonderful speech praising her. But the second time when Subhash Ghai gave him Deepika’s Viewer’s Choice Award, Ranveer did something special. He FaceTimed Deepika and put her on speaker. Deepika who was shooting for her Hollywood project xXx: The Return of Xander Cage was on the sets that time. But she thanked everyone for their support,” DNA quoted an onlooker as saying.

Ranveer and Deepika made their feelings for each other apparent during the Filmfare Awards event. Ranveer had bagged the Best Actor’s Award for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ while Deepika won the coveted trophy for ‘Piku’. Ranveer was seen giving a loud applause to Deepika as she read out a letter written by her father. And Deepika had tears rolling down her cheeks while Ranveer received the Best Actor’s trophy.
