The holy city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh is all geared up to welcome millions of devotees for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela starting from this Friday (April 22, 2016). As many 5 crore devotees are expected to visit holy land for the biggest religious congregations. The Kumbh Melas are traditionally held at four places in the country– Haridwar Kumbh Mela, Allahabad Kumbh Mela, Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha and the Ujjain Simhastha. It is believed that the Kumbh takes place in Nashik and Ujjain, while a planet is in Leo (Simha) also known as Simhastha.
