Haryana govt organises training camp to impart leadership skills to youth

The Haryana government has organised a five-day training camp here to impart leadership skills to the youth and apprise them of their responsibility towards the society.

Panchkula: The Haryana government has organised a five-day training camp here to impart leadership skills to the youth and apprise them of their responsibility towards the society.

The Netritva Sadhna Parshikshan Shivar has been organised jointly by the Haryana government and Prabodhni, Panchkula, in which youth representatives from various states of the country are participating.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, while speaking at the inaugural session of the camp, today said the youth play a vital role in taking the country ahead on the path of development.

He said this training camp would provide an appropriate platform to deliberate upon various issues including honing-up leadership skills in the youth. It would also apprise them of their responsibilities towards the society.

He said the state government was making persistent efforts to make available quality education to the students.

Khattar said a new course of Police Cadet Corps (PCC) would be started in the state on the pattern of National Cadet Corps (NCC).

With a view to imparting skill education to the youth, Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai in Sonipat would be upgraded as a Sports University.

Apart from this, 'Catch them Young' nurseries would be opened in over 500 schools so as to hone the talent of students at an early age.

Vyayamshalas in villages and open gym in the cities would be opened to channelise the energy of the youth in the right direction.
The aim behind carrying out all these activities was to ensure that the youth of the state are well educated and physically fit, he said.

He exhorted the participants to get training with utmost dedication and seriousness during the training camp.

He said the youth should draw inspiration from the life of Swami Vivekanand and continue to move ahead towards their goal till they achieve it.

Chairman, tourism department, Jagdish Chopra welcomed the participants from different states of the country who converged at the camp.

He said the Parshikshan Shivar would not only help in honing-up leadership skills among the youth but also provide a new direction to them.
