Himachal Elections 2017, Know your constituency: Dalhousie

SHIMLA: Himachal elections is all set to be held on November 9. The counting will be held on December 18, 2017. The term of the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly comes to an end on January 7, 2018.

The hill state has 68 constituencies. Dalhousie is also part of Kangra Lok Sabha constituency. There are a total of 107 polling booths in Dalhousie.

In 2012, Congress's Asha Kumar won the seat with 25541 votes.

This year, the state polls will witness the use of Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPATs) with all Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Voters will be able to visually verify if the vote they have cast has indeed gone to the candidate of their choice.
