Los Angeles: Actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that it was comedian Jerry Seinfeld who indirectly convinced him to retire his iconic Wolverine character after 17 years.
Jackman says after his conversation with Seinfeld, he realised he wanted to end the journey of his character with 'Logan', which treated Wolverine as a human character and not as a superhero.
When Jackman, 49, asked Seinfeld about ending his show at the height of its fame, the comedian told him, "I've always believed, you should never spend everything creatively because it's almost herculean to start up again. You should always have something in the tank."
"Leave the party before it gets too late kind of theory," Jackman told Willem Dafoe for Variety's 'Actors on Actors'.
The actor said on the way home from the dinner with Seinfeld, he decided that 'Logan' would be his last movie.
