Caught on camera: Hyderabad top cop slaps woman accused of theft, transferred

HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Hyderabad slapped a woman accused of theft while a press conference was going on.

Identified as S Ranga Rao, the Begumpet ACP was later transferred to the City Armed Reserve (CAR) headquarters.

In a video shared by news agency ANI on Saturday, the ACP is seen sitting on his chair while the woman accused is standing behind him.

Rao who was apparently interrogating the accused, turning towards her, suddenly slapped her in the middle of the conversation.

The entire incident, which was caught on camera, took place in presence of some other police personnel.
