New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee's  daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee on Tuesday slammed Congress party over a tweet posted by the party's official Twitter handle.

The tweet posted by Congress party's official Twitter handle carried a pic of Rajiv Gandhi and Pranab Mukherjee with the caption - 'Shri Rajiv Gandhi and Pranab Mukherjee, in 1985'. 

Reacting to the tweet, President Pranab's daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee slammed Congress and wrote, "At least have the courtesy to add 'Shri' before Pranab Mukherjee as he happens to be the current President of India."

Soon after the tweet went viral, Congress party deleted the tweet. 

But, it was too late as Twitterati had already taken the screenshot of the controversial tweet. Here it is:-

However, Sharmistha Mukherjee tweet is still there.
