JP Nadda Takes Oath As Rajya Sabha Member From Gujarat
BJP president JP Nadda took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha in the presence of Vice president.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party President JP Nadda on Saturday took oath as the Rajya Sabha member. Nadda was inducted as the RS member of the parliament for the upper house from Gujarat by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar.

JP Nadda is currently serving as the 11th president of the BJP and was also a Rajya Sabha member from Himachal Pradesh. Earlier last month Nadda resigned from his position as the Rajya Sabha member from Himachal and filed his nomination for the Upper House from Gujarat.
In February, Nadda was elected unopposed for the Rajya Sabha seat from Gujarat after which he tendered his resignation from the Himachal seat. Meanwhile, his tenure as BJP President was also extended till June 2024, ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections.
Nadda also remembered on Saturday the BJP's stalwarts and paid respect to them on the occasion of the party's foundation day. JP Nadda also wished all party workers and said the party is moving ahead on the path of unprecedented victory in the upcoming general elections.
Formed on April 6, 1980, the BJP is celebrating its 44th foundation day today. In a post on X, Nadda said, "On the foundation day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, I pay my respects to all my senior leaders, who gave the organization nationwide expansion through their sacrifice, dedication and hard work. On this occasion, heartiest wishes of the foundation day to all the workers."
