Vote Counting Highlights | Bihar municipal election result 2023 (Nagar Nikay Chunav Result): The voting of the third phase of the state's Municipal elections was held from 7 am to 5 pm on Friday. The voter turnout was a little over 60 percent.

The polling was conducted for a total of 805 posts by the State Election Commission.

Bihar Nagar Nikay Chunav Parinam Highlights: The result for the Bihar Municipal Election was declared today (11 June 2023). The counting process for the Bihar Municipal Election commenced today in the morning at 8. In all, 4,431 candidates—2,197 men and 2,234 women—contested the municipal elections in Bihar, which were held in 31 municipalities in 21 districts.

The competition for the position of Chief Councillor features 423 applicants. There are 252 male candidates and 171 female candidates. There are 391 applicants vying for the job of Deputy Chief Councillor.

There are 104 female candidates among them, compared to 287 male candidates. 18 municipal councils, 2 municipal corporations, and 11 village panchayats are all up for election.

The elections encompass 18 municipal councils, 2 municipal corporations, and 11 village panchayats. This election became imperative as the term of 31 municipal bodies came to an end in June. 

The election was necessitated as the tenure of 31 municipal bodies expired in June. These 31 municipal bodies included 24 newly formed and seven existing bodies whose term ends in June this year. Results for by-elections for 31 vacant seats in different government bodies in 21 districts are also being declared today.
