Necessary security arrangements were made for the sitting of a CBI Court in Sunaria District Jail, Rohtak for the pronouncement of quantum of sentence against Ram Rahim Singh.
Earlier on Friday, CBI judge Jagdeep Singh held the 50-year-old Dera chief guilty of rape in the case that was registered on the basis of an anonymous written complaint in 2002 that he had sexually exploited two female disciples.
He said both sentences will run consecutively for a total of 20 years in jail for the Dera chief.
Singh also fined him Rs 15 lakh in each of the two cases, of which Rs 14 lakh each would go to the two victims who were part of his sect.
CBI Judge Jagdeep Singh pronounced two sentences of 10 years rigorous imprisonment in each of the two cases that date back to 2002, said defence lawyer SK Garg Narwana.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after his conviction in two rape cases.

Talking to ANI, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh said,"There is total normalcy, our forces are on their toes. Will not let any untoward incident happen."

On behalf of its chief, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, Dera chairperson through its mouthpiece 'Sach Kahoon' urged followers to maintain peace and not violate law and order.
"No movement of people, other than those authorized, will be allowed within a distance of 10 km from the prison premises," IANS reported.
Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said,"The quantum of sentence of Ram Rahim Singh is not for any political party to decide. However, every pre-emptive and preventive method should be implemented to minimize conflagration and provocation of the situation. No excuses will be accepted this time."
Police arrested Ram Rahim's woman supporter, who wanted to meet the self-styled godman at Sunaria jail last night. Later on, she was sent to Jhajjar jail.

Special Weapons and Tactics(SWAT) teams and reserve forces have been deployed to prevent any violence.
Internet services have resumed in Chandigarh.
"Ready to deal with any eventuality. Several barricades with strong police and paramilitary presence set up," Navdeep Singh Virk added.
"We have ensured no Dera follower is allowed to enter the entire Rohtak district or move around jail," Navdeep Singh Virk, IGP Rohtak Range informed ANI.
"If any person is seen as a threat to the peace of the region or tries to harm anybody or himself, shoot at sight orders will be passed immediately. We are maintaining strict vigil and will not tolerate carelessness of any kind," Rohtak DC Atul Kumar told ANI.
Talking to ANI, Rohtak District Collector Atul Kumar said,"Will implement Shoot-at-sight orders if anti-social elements try to harm self or others, will take strong action according to the situation."

As per the reports of PTI, a special courtroom has been set up in the Sunaria Jail in Rohtak, where self-styled godman Ram Rahim has been lodged since his rape-conviction.
