Uttarakhand Assembly Polls 2022:  The counting of votes for the recently held elections to the 70-member Uttarakhand Assembly began at 8 am today (March 10). Polling in Uttarakhand took place on February 14 and the counting of votes took place on March 10. BJP won 47 seats but CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has lost.

Meanwhile, earlier in the week, the Zee News exit poll predicted a close fight between the ruling BJP and the Congress in  Uttarakhand. According to the projections for the hill state of Uttarakhand, Congress led by former chief minister Harish Rawat is expected to win around 35-40 seats. While Congress is predicted to make a strong comeback in the hill state, the ruling BJP is likely to win over 25 seats.

In the 2017 Uttarakhand Assembly elections, BJP won 56 seats, INC won 11 seats, and IND won 2 seats. So neck-neck fighting is expected. Congress veteran and former CM Harish Rawat or current CM, BJP's Pushkar Singh Dhami - who will have the last laugh? You will know within hours.
