Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Thursday restored the mobile internet service, almost half an hour after it was blocked in the city.

As per ANI, the 2G and 3G mobile internet services were restored whereas the 4G service was still blocked in Srinagar.

The administration decided to block the services in Srinagar following the killing of dreaded Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists Abu Ismail in an encounter in Nowgam area of Jammu and Kashmir today.

Apart from Abu Ismail, another militant, who was accused of an attack on the pilgrims, was also gunned down by the security forces.

The encounter took place at Aarigam, Nowgam in the outskirts of Srinagar.

Ismail, a Pakistani national, was the mastermind of the Amarnath yatra attack that killed eight pilgrims in July this year.
