A soldier went missing on Thursday from north Kashmir`s Baramulla district, police said.

Srinagar: An Army jawan has went missing with AK-47 and three magazines from north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Thursday.
He has been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Thakur and is associated with the 173 Territorial Army.
Thakur is a resident of Pulwama district in South Kashmir.
An alert has been sounded as officials fear that Thakur might have sided with the militants in the Valley.
The separatists have called a week-long protest to mark the first death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.
Wani was killed in a gunfight in Kokarnag area of Anantnag district on July 8, 2016.
The Hizbul militant's death triggered a summer of discontent and months of violence in Kashmir that left nearly a hundred people dead.
