Ajay Banga says further: "I told PM that American businesses are principally looking for predictability in policy that includes getting the GST Bill passed, and clarity on Minimum Alternate Tax that has now come. They are looking for some form of ease of doing business; we spoke about how to promote that. Everyone has apprehensions, they read the newspapers and see that the Land Bill was tried to be put through but didn’t. But they also see the positive, that there is change and growth, and a government that is engaging in open constructive dialogue. At the end of the day no county is perfect, neither America nor India. Yet we choose where to put our investments. What India has to do is have more pluses, less minuses; ease of doing business is one of the way, and another is predictability."
