Earlier, four people had succumbed to their injuries when an under construction multi-storey building collapsed in Nanakramguda area of Hyderabad late on Thursday, officials said.
The bodies were recovered on Friday morning.
An accused has been arrested in connection with the building collapse. Police is looking for another accused who is absconding.
According to reports, ten to twelve people are being feared trapped, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin told media.
A woman and her three-year-old son from Chhattisgarh were pulled out alive from the debris and shifted to a hospital. Her husband is still missing.
The government has suspended a deputy commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corp (GHMC) and an assistant town planning officer over lapses.
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams along with police and fire fighting personnel were participating in the rescue work. The labourers from Vijayanagaram district in Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were asleep when the building collapsed.
