Delhi shocker: Two Class XII students stab teacher to death

New Delhi: In a horrific incident, a teacher was allegedly stabbed in front of students in west Delhi's Nangloi area on Monday.
The victim, who was undergoing treatment at Balaji Action Hospital, succumbed to injuries today.
Two Class XII students of a government school allegedly stabbed Mukesh Kumar after one of them was rusticated for low attendance.
The incident took place at around 5 pm when the students were writing their exam at the Government Senior Secondary School.
Mukesh Kumar, who was a PGT teacher and taught Hindi, was stabbed thrice allegedly by the two boys in front of the entire class, after which the duo fled, a police officer said. Both the students have been apprehended.
One of the accused was rusticated for low attendance. He went to the school to speak with Kumar. During the conversation, he and his friend, who was writing the exam, reportedly lost temper and stabbed him, police said, adding one of the accused is 18-year-old while the other will turn 18 in two months.
Meanwhile, teachers today protested against the incident at the school.
Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had last night visited the injured teacher in a hospital in Paschim Vihar area.
