Actress Meghna Patel, who stripped for Narendra Modi in 2014, joins NCP

The NCP is likely to field Meghna Patel from Vadodara in the Gujarat Assembly Elections slated to be held in 2017.

Vadodara: Meghna Patel, the model-cum-actress who posed semi-nude with a placard having a photo of Narendra Modi during 2014 Lok Sabha elections, has joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Meghna Patel had hogged the limelight when she stripped herself in support of Modi in 2014.

In one of the two photo shoots, Gujarat-born Meghna covered her assets with a placard urging people to back Modi, while in another, she hid her body parts with lotuses, which is BJP’s symbol.

“She is an actress who has worked in several films including south Indian movies. She has now joined NCP,” said senior NCP leader Praful Patel.

According to reports, the NCP will field Meghna from Vadodara in the Gujarat Assembly Elections slated to be held in 2017.

The item girl has appeared in the Tamil hit number ‘Naka Muka’.
