Jammu: A court here on Thursday extended, by another 14 days, the judicial custody of two accused in the terror attack on a Border Security Force vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district.

Special National Investigation Agency (NIA) judge YP Kotwal ordered that Muhammad Naveed and Showkat Ahmad Bhat, be kept in judicial custody for another 14 days. Third accused Khurshid Ahmed, a truck driver of Awantipora, is already in custody.

Two terrorists had attacked a BSF bus on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway on August 5, killing two troopers and injuring 11 others.

One terrorist was also killed in the ensuing gunfight while the second terrorist Naveed had been overpowered by villagers he had taken hostage after escaping from the attack site.

During his interrogation, Naveed revealed he belonged to Faisalabad in Pakistan and had been sent across the border by Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit to carry out terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

On Naveed's identification, Bhat, who had been part of planning the attack, and Ahmed were arrested by the NIA that is investigating the case.
