Jhabua blast: Kin of deceased to get 5 lakh rupees compensation

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday announced that the family members of the deceased in the Jhabua explosion will receive five lakh rupees as compensation instead of two lakh rupees as promised earlier and also added that employment will be given to the kin of the deceased.

Chouhan earlier today visited the victims of the blast here and made the announcement later.Meanwhile, a manhunt is on to search Rajendra Kaswa, a fertilizer contractor and main accused in the blast case.

The state Government announced a cash prize of one lakh rupees to a person who gave the information regarding the whereabouts of the accused. Kaswa, who is now absconding, reportedly owns the licence to use explosive material for digging wells in rocky areas.

Stockpile of gelatin rods were stored illegally inside the godown owned by him inside the building where the blast took place.
