Amritsar: In a perfect gesture of humanity, Sikhs from of a small village of Sarwapur, Punjab built a mosque for the Muslim residents.

Joga Singh, a wealthy farmer village was unhappy that the Muslims living in this neighbourhood had to travel almost 10 kms to offer prayers in a mosque.

Earlier, there was a mosque in the village, but was destroyed during riots.

Expressing gratitude towards Singh, a Muslim resident Mohammad Jameel said, “If our Sikh brothers did not come forward, we could have possibly never got a mosque in our village.”
