Rajasthan Assembly introduces 15 bills on first day of session
The Rajasthan government will introduce 18 bills in the Assembly session beginning on Wednesday.

Jaipur: The first day of Rajasthan Assembly began today with uproar by the Opposition over issues of corruption and Lalit Modi controversy, even as the government introduced 15 bills including separate legislations providing reservation to Gujjars and economically weaker section.
As soon as the House assembled at 11 AM, the Congress members raised the issues to corner the government but it was not allowed by the Speaker.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore accused the Opposition of not functioning as per rules and asked the members to raise their demands under the rules of business of the House.
After the brief uproar, the Speaker took up legislative works under which 15 bills were introduced.
Rajasthan Economically Backward Classes (Reservation of seats in Educational Institutes in the State and of Appointments and Posts in Services under the state) Bill 2015 and Rajasthan Special Backward Classes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutes in the State and of Appointments and Posts in Services under the state) Bill 2015 were introduced by Home Minister Gulabchand Kataria.
Bills for repealing of incoherent and redundant laws, discouraging filing of frivolous litigation, amendment in Right to Education were among other bills which were introduced today.
After taking up the legislative works, Speaker Kailash Meghwal made obituary references and adjourned the house.
The house paid homage to former President A P J Abdul Kalam, former Governor of Bihar and Kerala R S Gavai, former Governor of Himachal Pradesh Sheila Kaul, former Odisha CM Janaki Ballabh Patnaik, former Chief Minster of Goa Wilfred De Souza, former MP Raghuveer Singh Kaushal, former members of the House Nathulal Gujjar, Kaushal Kishore Jain, Hariram Chauhan, Girdhari Lal Bhobia, and those who were killed in Nepal earthquake, stampedes in Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand, and the rail tragedy and blast in Madhya Pradesh.
