New Delhi: For all those music lovers, Google on Thursday has a musical surprise in store. The Internet giant came up with an interactive doodle to mark the 245th birth anniversary of German composer Ludwig van Beethoven.

December 17th marks the 245th anniversary of the composer’s baptism, while it is still unclear as to what is his exact birth date. The animated musical doodle challenges players to put together his most finest creations including his Fifth Symphony, Für Elise, Moonlight Sonata and Ninth Symphony (Ode to Joy).
Born in Bonn, Ludwig van Beethoven is one of the most famous composers of all time. At the age of 26, Beethoven began to lose his hearing. Despite all of this, Beethoven’s music paved way for transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western music.
