Two school teachers injured in firing in Peshawar

Two school teachers were injured today when unknown gunmen opened fire at them outside a primary school in this restive northwestern city of Pakistan, where taliban massacred over 130 students in December 2014.

    Peshawar: Two school teachers were injured today when unknown gunmen opened fire at them outside a primary school in this restive northwestern city of Pakistan, where taliban massacred over 130 students in December 2014.

    Two unknown motorcyclists opened firing at teachers and students of government primary school in Mirzagan in Charsadda district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as they were leaving the school, police said.

    Two teachers sustained bullet injuries while the attackers escaped, they said. The injured teachers were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital here. Police has started an investigation and were looking for the attackers.

    No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. As many as 148 people, mostly students, had died when Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) militants had stormed an army-run school here in December 2014.
