Aid convoys headed for a besieged Syrian town near the Lebanese border and two villages in the northwest of the country on Monday as part of an agreement between warring sides in areas where thousands of people are trapped, the Red Cross said.

Vehicles from the International Committee of the Red Cross are on their way to Madaya from Damascus, and to al Foua and Kefraya in Idlib province, the International Committee of the Red Cross`s Syria Twitter account said.
