Orlando shooter's last words: 'Real Muslims won't accept West's filthy ways', more attack to follow

London: The attacker who gun down 49 people at a gay nighclub in Orlando, Florida, wrote a series of Facebook posts before and during the attack criticising the 'filthy ways of the west', the MailOnline reported on Thursday.

Omar Mateen, who attacked the Pulse nightclub, described the massacre as “'Now taste the Islamic state of vengeance'”, which he said was carried out against the US airstrikes that killed “innocent women and children”.

According to the Mail, Mateen's final Faceboob post was a warning: “In the next few days you will see attacks from the Islamic state in the USA”.

The report said that the “Facebook posts were revealed in a letter sent by the Senate Homeland Security Committee to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg that requested additional information on Mateen's online activity”.

Johnson has reportedly revealed in the letter that Mateen searched for 'Pulse Orlando' and 'Shooting' to see if news of his massacre had reached the media.

In another post, Mateen, 29, pledged his allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, and asked “America and Russia stop bombing the Islamic state” and “may Allah accept me”.

Citing Johnson, the report said that Mateen had also used Facebook to search for information on the San Bernardino shooters just before the attack on Pulse.

He also searched “Baghdadi Speech” and law enforcement offices, the report added.
