From camera to smartphone: Kodak launches android phone IM5

The MI5 featurs a 5-inch screen with 720x1280p display resolution. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and is soon to get Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade.

Kodak, the once-leading manufacturer of cameras and photographic film products, has jumped into the smartphone market by launching its first Android phone, MI5 at the Consumer Electronics Show, 2015 (CES) in Las Vegas.

Built in collaboration with Bullitt, a British firm, the MI5 is Kodak's first smartphone ever.

The MI5 featurs a 5-inch screen with 720x1280p display resolution. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and is soon to get Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade.

It is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It comes with an internal memory of 8GB and can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The devics has a 13MP back camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera.

So far, there has been no news about the pricing and availability in the market.
