Is Uber looking to stoke global business with self driving cars?

New Delhi: App based ride sharing service provider Uber is likely to purchase a large fleet of automated cars.

A major cost of the ride sharing service providers is the cost and retaining drivers.

As per the German business magazine Manager Magazin, Uber had placed an order for at least 100,000 Mercedes S-Class cars citing sources.

However, a Reuters source familiar with the story has stated that no such order has been placed.
